Well figured out why my brakes have been failing, servo has failed and brake fluid is getting into the intake manifold thus causing lots of white smoke.
So....any suggestions where to get a suitable replacement or refurb kit etc?

Is it not the seals in the master cylinder letting fluid into the servo? seals are an easy enough fix.![]()
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
As far as I understand at the moment it's some sort of seal on the M/C or servo itself that has failed, but it seems by the time they fail the servo itself is fairly munted and the bores etc are too worn.
So some sort of replacement might be the best long term solution, not fussed if it's not 'concours spec' etc just want working brakes.

most local garages and brake shops send resleeving work out anyway - ask whoever is close that you like and trust
some master cylinders are quite generic and cheaper to buy new but a resleeved one will last almost forever so well worth it for a classic keeper vehicle
if its sucking fluid right thru the servo then it sounds like servo seals as well
It's been sometime since I used them but these guys were pretty good http://www.toresleeve.co.nz/Services/Resleeving.html
Cheers lads, yup the seals will be rooted inside so will be doing that, but gonna get it resleeved so it lasts
Thanks kickaha, my father in law found someone in Invercargill that should be able to help, will let you know how we get on.
