I don't think so. During the war they did the whole Lend/Lease thing where they swapped stuff (like destroyers) for shit (like rights to use land for airbases). Thier internal economy certainly did well though with lots or war goods to make and jobs all over the place. They certainly made a butt-load of money in the aftermath though.

Not directly the banks but the greedy repatriations they drove from WWI is well documented as the cause of the civil unrest that lead to the Nazi parties grabbing power, this is why they decided to help rebuild rather than punish post WWII.
