I have, like most, felt demoralised from time to time. Never felt so bad that I thought a life of crime was the way to go though. So, from my personal experience I perhaps don't have capacity to understand what it is you're trying to say.
Ooooooorrrrrrrrrr, the whole thing is a load of fucken bollucks. Dreamed up by some bleeding heart with a degree, that people without said degree feel obliged to consider.
I think the latter is more likely the case, than it being realistic to suggest crime would drop if there were fewer police.
I can, making it a personal mission to demoralise fucken Harris into never showing his face at a race track again.
As have I.
Ditto.
What I'm getting at is the attitude that can develop that goes something like "no-one gives a shit about me so why should I give a shit about them" that can develop in to a disrespect for property and life and limb.
The quickest way to reduce crime is to create a society where everyone feels respected. The quickest way to create a society where lots of people feel disrespected is for the government to poke it's nose where it doesn't belong. Some, not all, of those disrespected people will turn to crime because disrespect is a two-way street.
BTW: I don't have a degree.
Fewer police may not result from less funding. Just cheaper operations. More community policing. Less "you're nicked" and more "how's your day?".

I don't care if he/she is one of the good guys: I'm entitled to my opinion
And I was appalled at their idea of what they think is a good use of police resources
If you'd been burgled twice in the last 6 months and police were too busy to turn up, witnessed first hand cops being overly aggressive and violent - and then read this load of bullshit on here: you'd probably has an opinion as well
Live long and prosper ……………… or ride a motorbike
Obviously this thread is only for those people who agree - god help us if we express a contrary opinion! Bunch of soft cocks; you probable ride at 90klm/ hr, wear hi via vests, go for a nice pootle on your bikes like a bunch of nanas stop every half hour for a cuppa tea and call your selves bikers! Next thing you know you'll be riding one of those retarded three wheeled spiders
The opinion expressed in the original post was offensive to people who actually work for a living, and would rather the police do their job, do you guys not have your own brains, you alway bow down to 'authority' jump on any one who doesn't conform - think giving abuse in the form of red rep means something too me?
Bunch of social drop kicks
Live long and prosper ……………… or ride a motorbike
Getting upset over an internet forum = WINNER.Got a song especially for ya...........

For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him.Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
They don't turn up straight away as they are too busy dealing with immediate potential loss of life incidents thanks to all the wife bashers/alcohol/drug crazies problems out there.
And what are they going to investigate if no witnesses, few homeowners seem willing to spend on alarms or CCTV
Waited a day or two for them to turn up to my shed but that's ok, guy fingerprinted for good hour or so but came up with nothing.
But when there's still been offenders on site or at neighbours place the response times here in the bay are primo, on scene pretty fast.
I think its time the media/police wrote up just how busy they are with serious crime 24/7 and people like yourself would realise whats happening. I don't think the govt want people to know how bad it is out there though.
