it would be necessary to know "what speed limit" are you referring to.
but, as a gross way, i can tell you: "not so much".
remember that the major part of accidents happens within the city borders, so if you are thinking about your 100 kmh limit that part is very, very little.
then consider that the major part of the major part happens at speed below 64 kmh.
so if you're thinkin at the 70 kmh limit the answer is still "not so much".
regarding the 50 kmh limit, there's the part between 50 and 64 kmh, so the answer becomes "some".
at last, considering the 30 kmh limit, the answer could be "a considerable part".
btw, it's been a study in the u.s. years ago that seems to suggest the conclusion that enforcing speed limit in the way it's often done has little effect on the severity and number of accident...
it's not been particularly heralded for imaginable reasons...

That's not a rule, its half a stat and halfway to an internet meme with right funny picture...
No surprise as its an easily quatinfiable and enforceable risk factor, so what are the other 20, crap worn out tyres???/Non WOF condition.
Thats only the ones you catch, right? :satan:

I thought elections were decided by angry posts on social media. - F5 Dave
According to curent Police, MoT and ACC stats:
- 2/3 of motorcycle accidents occur on urban roads, and
- 30% of crashes have "going to fast for the conditions" as a primary causal factor.
Speed as in breaking the speed limits will be a subset of the "going to fast" for the conditions stats.
The fast (oops meant vast...) majority of tickets issued by Police to car drivers are also for speed...
I could go on, but can't really be bothered. The op is a waste of information in the form it was given, no context therefore not relevant in any shape or form.

Interesting. I would confidently say that less than 5% of the tickets I've received were for speeding...course, there's a reason for that.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahaha
But speeding is safe, I've never once had a crash due to exceeding the speed limit, yet I've crashed once at 10km/h below the speed limit (smidsy).
If it was unsafe to drive at 80km/h, on a 70km/h restricted, dead straight road with no foot paths or driveways, then how is it safe to go 90km/h on a motorway 10km/h below the speed limit?
How could you crash due to being over a speed limit? People could misjudge your speed, so you react by braking. Easy. If you lose control of the vehicle, then you went too fast for the conditions/vehicle/skill, not too fast for a random number designated to be safe for the lowest common denominator.
Marijuana kills hundreds of people every year because it's illegal, therefore it must kill people or why would it be illegal?
