Thankfully my trusty computer will allow me to watch them over and over....one the best.

Lots of rumours that ITV or Sky may do a deal with them, so there's a glimmer of hope.

As you say though, lots of copies around and endless repeats on TV.

Can't see any new version being half as good unless they get very, very lucky with the presenter line up. The names bandied about so far give me little faith....

Wonder what their next beginning will be and who'll show them. I believe Clarkson was offered something Russian recently. Perhaps Ze Chermans will grab 'em. Reasonably priced car around the Nurburgring could be fun.

To be fair to BBC though, Clarkson left them no choice, I'll stick up for his right to speak his mind and make offensive jokes for entertaiment purposes, but not for verbally and physically abusing fellow employees for a lack of dinner selection.

I quite enjoy the US spinoff of the series, so I'll still be tuning in to next season.

Also, I hope the final eps in this season are released.

Yep. No denying that - I think even the intrepid threesome would agree.
Does feel like certain sectors of the UK press have had it in for Clarkson for some time, so no doubt they're revelling in this fracas.

    I blame Piers Morgan

I agree partly - but remember it was Clarkson himself that raised the incident with his superiors - He knew he had fucked up and crossed a line and owned up to it. If he hadn't had all the other recent incidents I think he would have scraped through.

I will say that I respect the BBC for sticking with principles over profit - but I will ask this - could there have been an alternative options? one where the public get to continue to enjoy Top Gear in its correct format and Clarkson making amends for his behaviour (maybe loss of pay, charity donations etc.)

but I suspect the recent Clarkson uproars meant alternatives weren't an option.

Jeremy Clarkson did his dash years ago. His racist, bigoted, bullying, cliched approach is tired, predictable, not particularly insightful, rarely amusing and should be retired.

Hammond is a fawning brown-nose and has also done his dash on Top Gear.

James May should stick to doing his Man Lab and other fantastic solo television efforts.

I am sure that the BBC could find three new presenters with, god forbid, at least one woman, who could add a fresh perspective to the show that could actually grow audiences -- even in France and Germany.

Hopefully though May won't pursue his recorder playing efforts on boobtube.

Thought Rowan Atkinson could do a passable job if they continued defining the show as 'entertainment'.

James may could have carried the show himself, well he kind of did anyway.
The German girl Sabine ? who i think was a professional racer instructor or test driver the one they had racing the transit van around the Nuremberg ring.
Had more screen presence and personality than Hammond and Clarkson put together.
I recall she was also pretty well put together also.
    Anyone remember her?

I know i'm in the minority but I could never stand Clarkson, not that he'll worry too much about that though.

It had done it's dash and better this way than trying to half arse it together. Time for something new. NONE of the other Top Gear exports with the same format have succeeded so hopefully they remember that when replacing it.

And Clarkson, reported himself or not (what a saint right!), was way out of line. Good riddance. Imagine what a fucking troll he would have been to work with if he was diva enough to scone someone over his dinner plans. Cock. I liked him as a presenter on Top Gear for sure, but still a cock.

Interested to see what comes next, hopefully something less scripted. Top Gear was a bit painful at times how they too obviously set things up.

There is a good clip of her passing 40 odd cars in 2 or so laps of the ring, during a race, in her Porsche GT3 car on the tube. She does do presenting in Germany now too though. Racing reflexes ain't the same in your 40's I guess.
