yesterday my employer gave me a box of bourbons, a mingy prison joint and a handjob.

but i've had 20 days off so can't be too fussy.

well, yesterday my work gave us all 3% more in our pay packet. Not the most amazing news on the planet, but 3 is twice the cpi, so I'm bloody ecstatic.
These are employers of long standing, whose workers are all bloody good at what they do and actually do a days work for their crust.
Looking forward to a long career here.

Mint, I thought we were too far at the arse of the world for economical launches, but I guess not launching for the ecliptic makes other sites viable and preferable.

Low orbit stuff, nowhere near geosync heights, so I guess it counts that we're on a significantly different path than the existing sites. Certainly can't hurt that their prices are an order of magnitude lower than the competition...

In other news that makes me cheerful ... there's a buzz that a 'Hooters' will be opening in Christchurch. Now that's a place that'd I'd love to be the Recruitment Officer for. "I'll need to see your qualifications ma'am". (Best you're envious of my HR job now huh!)
