I know these will go up in value over time but , a well used one ?

I'm told it's from Invercargill so no doubt it's had a bit of sand under it's wheels

If it was $20k i would be seriously tempted. But the dealer doesnt even seem interested in selling. Multiple emails and no reply
MDU are an awesome shop mate, I am 99% sure if you gave them a buzz they might fix you up with a deal. Not sure they would knock 5k off though bro! Seems a reasonable price due to all the farkles. Yes a new R1 is better and costs the same, but if people bought bikes on price/value/bang for bucks alone, very few European bikes would sell.

    Just been factory serviced.

Parts fitted to the bike below, and I'm sure I've missed some...

Akrapovic Evo111 full superbike titanium system/race ECU $6000.00
Aprilia corse carbon fibre stator cover $180.00
Aprilia corse carbon fibre clutch cover $400.00
Pro Fibre carbon fibre frame covers $450.00
Pro Fibre carbon fibre swing arm covers $300.00
    Samco silicon hose kit $400.00
    Billet rear sets $350.00
Billet folding clutch & brake levers $200.00
DID ex gold ring chain $300.00
Front sprocket (1 tooth lower) $80.00
Super sprox gold rear sprocket $250.00
    Rizomar billet sprocket cover $200.00
Puig tinted double bubble screen $260.00
    Lightech billet chain adjusters $400.00

Painted parts painted by James Lee Designs

    Front & Rear brake calipers - $ 500
    Fork lowers - $ 250

Chains and sprockets after 7k? Nah a re-gear I think - cost is irrelevant.

Who pays $400 for chain adjusters!

    $500 to paint the calipers!

Factory serviced - no. Shop serviced - unless it was flown back to the motherland to be serviced .....

Still - nice bike. Value? for the buyer to decide - looks OK to me. Any old arse can own a R1

I was in Avon City Suzuki yesterday (just looking, thanks) they have an RSV4 in there. Which is a Factory. It has the good shit. Ohlins forks and TTX36, forged wheels etc. That one is just covered in expensive tat. who the fuck needs a "Billet sprocket cover" for fucks sake. Sure, it has some nice bits on it - that the bike doesnt really need. But a bike like this with Ohlins front and back, light wheels. yes please. And it is $20k.

PS heads up they are having their "end of summer" gear sale this weekend. I could do with some winter gloves....

You're right it is a reasonable price with all the farkles when considered in isolation. But if you compare to what else you can get for $25k, namely a 2015/16 R1, its hard to justify the purchase of the RSV4 nomatter how pretty she is. And then they can be tempermental things and bloody hard to sell as well.

I did actually speak with them very friendly and asked them to send me some more pics and a sound clip then never heard from them again despite follow up emails.

Anyway someone might pay $25k for it but they would have to be quite spend free to buy it at that price. I probably would buy for $20k but whether the owner will come around to realising its not worth the same as brand new and better bikes is unknown. Guess they dont want to take a hit as a lot of money was spent on it but the longer they wait in hope for a buyer the more its value drops.

That bike is way overpriced compared to the other RSV4. Its a 2009 with 29k kms on it. The other is a 2012, lower ks, full akra system and all the other extras.

did you miss the part that it had functionally better parts on it, not stupid bling? Ohlins forks, ohlins shocks, forged wheels, brembo monoblocks? and it is five grand cheaper asking price. Arguably the Akra zorst is a functional improvement (if done properly) because it is lighter and possibly de-cats the system, but all that other shit? cheap or expensive tat not worth a thing.

But, you know, if you are swayed by a hog, wearing lipstick, go for it.

Sokay the ad didn't actually make it clear so easy to miss unless you know to look for it. Won't buy for 25 maybe for 20 but unlikely as dealer doesn't seem interested in selling. To me at least.
