The ring retaining pins sunk back into the piston, allowing the rings to rotate and snag in the ports.

MVX was before KR1 times. More like the old KR250 Tandem Twin era. Had one of them from new from the Boyle Bros!

I seem to recall the Honda motto for the MVX was "seize the day"
I jumped of my RG250 onto a mates MVX for a thrash. I remember thinking "Hmmm, when it going to hit the powerband", then looking down at the rev counter and it was already at redline - Opps!

The cause for the rear slug locking up did get sorted. They balanced the early ones by putting in a bigger conrod. For some reason that fucked with the heat held in the slug...bang.

Second run of them they balanced the crank differently. Stopped happening.

They're a smooth as fuck motor. Probably fuck all slower than the RG, but heaps less exciting and not as sharp in the steering.

From memory the later ones still had a solid gudgeon pin.
I don't think the iron cylinders helped the seizing either, not sure why they cheapened out on the cylinder material.

I want a sadel. I don't have one or know what it is, but I feel like I'm missing out.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Every good spots bike has one!
The remote engine starter is bloody handy. You can be all geared up along with your super dark tinted visor - then when no ones looking - Pow! You can be on it and gone before anyone sees you!
