You may remember the tragic case where the six year old shot and killed his teacher in Virginia. That incident has been overtaken in the news lately by other shootings with a higher body count. It seems that it's about to make headlines again. There are now reports that the school administration received three warnings that day about the boy being armed but that they did nothing.
It's drummed into kids, "See something, say something." The adults though need to do something.

The Republicans in the US are crying cancel cuture over two RWNJ "news" channels being dropped by carrier DirectTV. This of course is bollox. Newsmax and OAN wanted DirectTV to pay more to carry their content. Neither cellar dweller channel has viewer numbers to boast about. As was pointed out they are posting their content elsewhere for free. DirectTV didn't see why they should pay more for something that is given away free elsewhere, so they let the two channels go.
It's probably too big a concept for the likes of the outraged Ms Boebert, but this is not cancel culture. It's actually capitalism, it's the market at work.
