Only one other thing that annoys me more than those that are basically Quoting what a journalist from mainstream media vomits, it's those on this site that have an opinion but are afraid to voice it like:

" I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with him, but..."

"I don't believe mainstream media or Al Bundy, but..."

" I'm not left or right but..."

" Elon Musk is a plonker but I'll use his Starlink satellite dish that his Tesla shares helped to finance SpaceX, but he's still a plonker...."

Don't be afraid to share your own thoughts and opinions, not necessarily those who tell you how to think.

Well it seems odd for a car manufacturer with global ambitions to limit their possible market share, especially one that is supposed to have such a streamlined manufacturing process.

But as you say, if the demand isn't there and they're phasing these models out down the road anyway, I guess it makes sense. I'm not sure that any of that qualifies as an opinion? More a review?

Personally, I've always thought the fact that we ended up with some countries driving on the opposite side of the road to the other is yet another example of why the human race will never get its act together and is fundamentally doomed. But that's just my opinion.

Its worse than that parts of China differ from the mainland and still drive on the left as they were formally administered buy the UK , Hong Kong and Macau.
Worse still Macau is contacted by a bridge to the mainland. Not sure how this works for logistics...

Driving on the left as we do, follows on from Britain who in turn copied the Roman model of having the right hand free for weapons when approaching an oncoming rider or wagon. Driving on the right started with France, who naturally oppose anything British, and continued with US.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

odd, as the froggies seem able to surrender with both hands; and their frogman seem to be ambidextrous whilst applying limpet mines to civilian vessles

This poses some interesting insurance questions. Oop here, in the land of the bonnet bow wave, driving through floods is an almost weekly event.

To be fair, the same rules apply to ice vehicles too. This is still a runner but is written off due to potential electrical issues (ABS in particular) in years to come. (Note the damaged fuel rail/milky oil text was a typo from another advert.)

Yup, I wasn't picking on leccy cars, just the info on insurance law. I never nude that.

I'm guessing it must be the ABS control unit that took a bath, the rest of the system gets rained on?

    Very murky.

Yeah I've seen a couple dealers I know try to get cars that turned out to be water damaged through compliance, it is not at all cost effective as all sorts of control modules/wiring/sensors need to be replaced.

Can’t read the article but making some assumptions....

If knowingly buying an insurance writeoff or previously flood damaged vehicle you would void your policy if you didn’t disclose anything your are aware of that could impact the insurers offer or rates.
Btw if they decline you insurance for something you must disclose that to whoever you go to next.

Driving through flood waters you will prob be covered on your first claim saying oh I didn’t realise the damage that could happen. But likely your insurance company you may not be covered for doing same thing again. Your also on thin ice if your out in extreme conditions and police have advised against travel.

There’s a bunch of ADV riders bragging about riding past road closed signs on flood damaged east coast areas. They will be in for a nasty surprise if they bin it on a closed road.
