I did one years ago but it wasn't one of Grenville's, it was ok, pretty easy track, think we even did the enduro loops which weren't that bad

Did Waiau on Sunday, pre pay and book ride, 500 riders per day and both sold out, apparently the Saturday was a real mudfest but Sunday was a great track, good mix of terrain, tried a few of the big hill climbs and failed miserably but did not fall off

Played swap a bike and had a go on Mike's new Beta 390, really nice to ride and I think potentially I could be faster on that than the 300 except it's a filthy four stroke, swapped with Gordon as both out bikes are "identical" but are different to ride

Mayfield will be my next one, I got a Helicopter ride from Beautiful valley last time with a heart attack and it was a bit shit anyway even though it hadn't rained for a week, might be heading to the Waimak Sunday as well

Current forcast is rain at Beautiful valley on Sunday. I have no interest in riding in the rain and the mud there. Forecast is for rain in ChCh on Sunday too. Are you thinking North bank? I might be keen if it is not raining or you could slum it on the South side?

North Bank at the same spot as the other time, already locked and loaded with other guys, have to slum it some other time, although if it's wet we probably wont bother

The weather at Beautiful Valley was perfect. The rain did not start until 2.00pm, the exact time I finished loading up. Perfect. The track was the same direction as last years. The clay climbs were just as slippery, although several were drier. Right at the top of the final slippery climb from hell I found some discarded heart parts, an aorta, some valves and a left ventricle? Were they yours Kick? The tree section was in great condition. I did the enduros- the downhill through the trees was steep enough to be at the edge of my limited skill level. Overall, a very good day.

    We had a good few hours on the Waimak tracks, 6 of us on a bikes from a KDX220, DR200, RMX250, Beta 300 x 2 and a Beta 390

We'd gone a km or so on one track and noticed a lack of KDX220, back tracking found Roxy with a dead bike but the spare plug from my tool kit had him going again

Pulled my Beta forks out when I got home and dropped them to Tim McArthur at Technical racing where they will be revalved and resprung to suit me and will be dropping the rear shock off for the same treatment.

Nope watched Streeter's Video to confirm I would not have enjoyed it, different track than other years though

Kings Birthday weekend I'm heading back to Mt Greenland on the Sunday to have a go at getting to the hut and back if anyone's interested and weather permitting, heading over Saturday after work, start about 7.30-8am Sunday morning, Monday holiday to recover

Gee, who's throwing around money these days?

Well I rode my Trials bike up the driveway a couple of times. Even pulled some pathetic wheelies. Shoulder hurt next day. Needs more time.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
