The man is such a stunning businessman he doesn't know how much is investment properties have changed in value since purchasing them.

By his own admission totally out of touch with the housing market, and yet still telling us he's the man to fix the problems.
It might be a bit of a stretch to claim a conflict of interest though, otherwise the same could be said to apply to anyone who owns a house (or two, three, four), but definitely into nimby territory wanting to repeal legislation that might affect the leafy suburbs that he and his wealthy friends reside in.

I think the real problem people have is nZ tall poppy syndrome we don’t like overly successful people. Even half labour MPs have multiple properties, investment or otherwise.
It’s bizzare that we should be alarmed at a successful person being in power. I know Luxon still has lots to learn but he’s been successful in business world and that comes from knowing how to bring people together to conclude a deal of mutual benefit.

Sociopaths tend to do well in business. They are quite happy to trample other people to climb the greasy pole.
He doesn't take advice. Key told him to learn the ropes before standing for leader. His ego wouldn't allow that. He might have been successful at business but he's crap at politics and he's a religious nut job as well. Tall poppy syndrome has got nothing to do with it.

His own people never rated him as much as his replacement or processor as a CEO
he wasn't a CEO that associated with the people. Plus his business success consisted of shuting down unprofitable routes that's hardly groundbreaking stuff'.

I dont think they are quick enough....what I saw was over in a split secondOh cut it out. The media would be all over that
if he can't convince his own party supporters?

or get his own parties policies right
When asked for a response Luxton was unable to comment as he was overseas in Te puke ie Hawaii.Christopher Luxon drove himself into a policy traffic jam on Wednesday morning, after he said National would U-turn on a policy it vociferously opposed - the clean car discount or “ute tax”.
