You may have read that the deputy Attorney General of the US, Todd Blanche, has been meeting with Ms Maxwell. Apparently this constitutes a major breach of legal ethics.
Blanche was Trump's defence lawyer in the New York fraud trial which resulted in 34 fraud convictions for Trump. As such lawyer/client privilege existed between Trump and Blanche - and still does. It's permanent. Blanche who has that legal relationship with Trump should not be speaking with Maxwell about the Epstein case under any circumstances. That comprises a major conflict of interest since she could say something that implicates trump.
Trump has never been one to worry about ethics. It seems that Blanche isn't much bothered either.
