That sounds like a cracker idea! You provide the space and I'll bring myself and fire... (I enjoyed that and want more!)
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

You could have something here. We have covered sheep yards for the bikes and a woolshed for sitting around in and eating etc. Zip for coffee etc. We would need a porta Loo as the woolshed or the septic tank might struggle. The 4WD club had them on site last year for the public but we could get one for our own use. I am sure Wasp27 and a few others would help out with a BBQ and stuff. Not sure how you would organise things. People could bring their own food and cook etc. We had food outlets on site last year during the competition day. Mind you Bay View is only 12 Km away. Fish and chip shop and pub for them that want it. Napier is only 28 Km away if you want restaurants etc. Bring a tent. Usually nice here at Easter.

However, unlike some events, no jelly wrestling, burnout competitions or such. Yep I am an old conservative critter and it would be a quiet weekend for K/Bers and friends in the country. We had a few thousand spectators last years so you would want to keep your stuff in the covered yards outa the way of the public. Leave someone with the gear. They have a tendency to touch stuff. And take it.
A good idea Cola. Lets see if we can do something like this. We will need an idea of numbers coming. See if anyone else runs with this idea.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

There's your answer. I think it's a rule imposed by International Law. Or something.

It's not the pink bits that are the problem. It is that Cola had his tongue on them.

Is that not what PinkBits are for? I might add that said PinkBits were not complaining...

In that case, it should be windy with it....
Story? Not really, just a moral - when you are in a tight spot it's best to get help.....
