And I will be early next year! I'm currently Technical Marketing Manager for a couple of pulp and paper mills which means I dig the sales managers out of the shit when they tell lies. Mechanical Engineer by profession. Moving permanently to Coromandel next April to ride bikes, fish and kayak all day long. Unless Mrs B has other ideas of course.

Not quite, although the said aluminium tubing quite often has guano on it, but mostly in it, before it gets dropped out

Well, finally, after quitting my four years with Sulco, and being "between jobs" since 22 June, (it's amazing how frugally one can live when one has to!), I start work Monday for a Financial Advisory firm, as a ... wait for it... yes, a Financial Adviser[I]!

Basically it's a high-tech brokerage for insurance, mortgages and investments. We cover personal and business risk insurances and have associates with a variety of companies, so a "one stop shop" for the best advice from people with 30+ years in the industry.

It's a far more regulated and specialised industry since I was doing insurance brokering way back in the early '90's, for sure and we now need to be accredited, blah, blah...

Anyway, sounds like a bit of fun and they insist I'll get well paid for my efforts so I'll give it a shot. Beats selling insurance on commission and you get to know all the major players and what's being offered around. Preliminary work I've done for them so far has been an interesting exercise.

So if anyone wants to know if they've got the best cover and price around, it'll cost you nothing to find out. No charge to the client for our services.

We grow and sell subtropical plants and trees, and often end up planting them for clients as well. Also we host weddings and other small private outdoor functions in our gardens. It's been 7 day-weeks for a long time but we've just started taking sundays off.

I am a teacher aide at a local high school. I work with moderately to severely disabled teenagers and as in class support in low band classes for Maths and English.
I love my job, but wish the pay was bettter...
I also help Mstrs in his business.. debt collector, do GST returns, help select colours and designs etc, occasionally roped in to apply the stuff as well.
Other than that I play mum to a busy household, parent a teenager, am an awesome Nan to my grandkids and ride motercycles.

I own and operate my Co. from home preparing repo'd cars/bikes for sale which enables me to be the full time parent that I am.
Hugely over paid and happy for it.
