Sorry to hear about your bin mate. Take care and heal up soon. My thoughts are with you.

After my first bin (I was hit by a car) I could barely bend my left leg but still went ahead and rode the bike the next day just to get over my fear quickly. Not saying that's right for you but it was the approach that worked for me.

Here's a photo of the leg - x-ray showed no broken bones but physio said there was a lot of soft tissue damage. Still limp on cold days but could have been so much worse and I count my blessings.

Just take it easy man, at a pace you can manage.

Nobody is telling you get back on the bike ASAP so when you're ready, you will be ready.

And also don't try to over analyze the situation too much, like replaying it over and over again in your head because it can drive you nuts. Definitely learn from the experience and your skills can only get better from here.

    Cheers and see you around!

On wet roads I make a normal nana rider look like Valentino Rossi.

Like REAL slow - my average speed drops by about 20kmh.

and a lot of tighter bends I get around at a speed that has my bike virtually upright.

Glad to hear you came out of that one virtually unscathed - there's a fine line between a bit of a scare and total disaster.

Hey BigRed, glad to hear you survived that one. It sounds like a big crash, and you came out of it well, so congratulations on your good luck there.

As my mate says, if you're not bleeding badly, you have all your limbs, and there's money in the bank for food and rent, nothing else really matters.

Keep your chin up and good luck with the insurance!
