    Thoughts please...

For those that can't sign the card, I'm happy to just print off the relevant posts in this thread and attach to the card.

As an ex cop and biker myself, my heart certainly goes out to our fellow biker injured on duty. I can only hope for a quick and solid recovery and return to duties for him.

Hi, Thanks for the welcome, Nick sold his R1, He had his from new, I bought one a year old, 6 months after he got his, we & others spent many weekends out on bikes. He came home for a months holiday & rented a Fireblade for a couple of days, what a weekend that was.

So he's a Pom aye. It that case I fear that he's not getting appropriate care in NZ. He'll require toad in the hole and bovril in order to heal properly.

Pass on my best wishes there BC

You might be better to do the signing outside the autobahn cafe rather than in the BP. That BP is always full on with customers.
1/ is easier to park the bikes
2/ you will be easier to spot
    3/ the coffee is better

Whilst I hope the cop concerned gets back on his feet soon (a wish I would pass on to anyone that has an accident, biker or not, cop or not - it's called simple compassion, Katman. Try looking to word up.) perhaps this incident might serve a purpose and persuade the useless fuckers in ivory council towers to do something about the appalling state of the roads.
Was told about this thread and although I am yest to finish reading this thread completely, I agree with the above post completely. Oh and Katman, you will see that I signed my rep, just so you know where you stand with me. I'm hoping that the Police officer does not end up like I have and is back riding soon.

Can you print out my post please? I hope that the rider involved is able to get back from the injuries and indeed be riding again swiftly. I know what its like to loose my ability to ride and I would never wish that on anyone. Heal well Nick and if your ever in New Pymouth or online and need someone to tallk to, feel free to contact me. I know that I'm still working through my own issues related to my accident and related paraplegia, but I am now aware of whats happened, honest about it and trying to recover from it.
P.S. ICU ain't the nicest place to be, hope your out of there soon Nick and back home with those important to you.

Take my word for this. Sometimes they change that quick that you have no time to change speed apart from an uncontrolled descent in velocity. That generally is the part that causes the damage too. Many of us know this as we have either had an accident, or know others who have. Perhaps this is why there is the stupidity that entered into this thread and then was moved to PD? Too many people who know neither and have little experience with motorcycles? No idea, but just a thought and although I do not ride anymore, many KBers will have to do alot of riding to catch me up.
