you and pulling hard blue? that doesn't surprise me.
No serious ck you should be able to stoppie even on cold tyres.
If the wheels locking your using too much of a grab on the brake lever than a squeeze. As you squeeze the lever, the front forks will slowly compress until the rear wheel lifts. They have high speed damping, etc. to defeat stoppies at pace, but on slow compression all you do is transfer downward weight onto the tyre.
    Luv it!

Yeah, ive been trying to pull off some decent wheelies on mine.... not to much success. I can get some decent lifts by dropping the clutch from stop into 1st but thats about it. Ive tried to pull them off by leaning back and pulling up whilst in lower gears but no luck yet . My next bike is going to be a 250 ninja or gsxr-250. Hopefully enough power to do them. When i stop at the lights in town i usually pull off a wheelie by dropping the clutch but thats about all i can do on the FXR. I'dd like to learn how to do stoppies if anyone can help. There is one other option if you are game enough and have the money. I looked into getting a custom Nos kit for my fxr and there is a kit availible on www.nosnitrous.com but it supposed to be for 250's and up althought i was told it could be used on the fxr. Sorry if im boring anyone...

My bike is a slut; you're welcome to a ride once the engine work is complete and it's back in one piece.
