Read my original post concerning this and try and understand the differnce between his public posititon and his political position. The two are not the same. This is Real politick. If you can not understand this there not much point in continueing the exchange.

    I do understand the exchange.
You slag of Key for a minor offence whilst ignoring the fact that your precious Labour Govt. is littered with the wreckage of much worse incidents.
Has Key pissed in any Hotel Hallways, been caught DIC or been caught lying to the House?

These are all real incidents by Cabinets Ministers in this Govt. In fact the ongoing theme in this Administration is the inability of Cabinet Members to accept any sort of Ministerial Responsibilty until it's forced on them.

So don't give me any crap about Key not being fit to govern. He's a better man than Benson-Pope, Samuels or any of the other pond scum that leaked out of the fourth Labour Government.

Helen is out because she is corrupt, arrogant, conceited (and ugly). Key's made a boo boo with a song.

    What's the other option(s)????

    Why stop at Key?

So let me see if I have this right, you acknowledge that you have no evidence that Key is lying, yet you take issue with Key because he didn't claim responsibility for someone elses fuck up?

The buck should lie with whom is responsible. Do you go around claiming responsibility for other's misdeeds?

Thank you IIIryder, I shall decide when I have had my say.
Unlike your kids, I am responsible for myself and my opinions.

There's just no point, is there. It's like talking to a religious zealot. Absolutely convinced that their viewpoint is correct, and no amount of evidence, reason, argument and discourse will shake it. And the more one confronts them in a futile attempt to at least see that there is another side, the more and more the responses get more and more incoherent...

I do like this philosophy. Next time I get a speeding ticket I admit it and therefore miss out on the penalty. Great idea.... If labour can confirm that this is the new policy then I shall shift my vote from ACT to labour.

In Pinochets Chile ''Helen the great leader knows best for all of us'' would have been a worthy recipient of the ''open door policy'' at that time. Basically a little plane ride over the ocean or the Andes. The old boy got a few things right. If only....

Some excerpts from the Hearld today.

Deputy Prime Minister Michael Cullen called National leader John Key a "rich prick" and a "scumbag" in Parliament yesterday during a heated debate.
He first called him a "rich prick" then repeatedly called him a scumbag. "You scumbag, John," he said. "Scumbag, scumbag."
Senior Cabinet Minister Trevor Mallard is refusing to apologise to a whistleblower who he attacked as incompetent and sad, despite the Environment Ministry yesterday saying her work was "of good quality".

This is pathetic, even by NZ Parliamentary standards.
The second one is particularly disgusting, whereby you have a Senior Cabinet Minister using Parliamentary Privilege to attack a whistleblower. Whatever side of the political divide you are, it is hard to escape the conclusion that Mallard is a loathsome creature about 10 years past use by date.

Don't forget Cullen calling him a "working class scab", which shows Cullen's true light. A barely-reformed union activist who despises anyone who's managed to make any money and shown some form of success. In Cullen's ideal country, everyone would be on subsistence incomes provided by the government, and spend their days sitting on their fat arses swigging cans of export whilst waiting for the next dole cheque to arrive.

Despite the fact that I was born there myself, I would also say that Cullen brings a wiff of English Trade Union politics with him. He carries on like he's Arthur Scargill's right hand man in the class struggle...
