The cop wasn't nice - he was doing his job. You were lucky he didn't ticket you for everything he could have (probably felt sorry for you). You blatantly broke the law yet you bitch about other kids your own age (teenagers) larking about.

You got busted, pay the price, don't blame the bike - quit bitching.
Odd, i would call that nice. And i am not bitching i am telling the morons that think all cops are pigs that there are some good ones out there.

who gives a fuck. Point is he breaks the law and is going to get fined. Obviously the littl' turd is too full of himself to be all technical about such things as the law. How many things did our old men tell us, just to scare and make us think twice before we did something stupid again.

Perhaps you should direct your attention to a more worthy cause, because I really don't give a shit.

I'm not the one, some poor bastard (in a blue uniform) is going to pull out of a ditch because I thought I knew it all.

Im not making a point - Im simply stating an observation. And that is that you are coming across as a miserable, condescending, petty person who has a huge chip on their shoulder.

Im dont actually disagree with some of the points you are making, but read the quotes I posted of yourself, and you will see that they way you put them is hardly condusive for good debate / discussion.

funny how people who admit to stunting on organised rides when asked not to get pages of congrats, yet poor old ducky gets spat on as if hes the scum of the earth.
lets see... after 10pm, 13k over the POSTED speed limit and no rego plate. whats so inherantly unsafe about that? the rego plate being gone will not make the bike fall apart, ive read about riders here going 100k OVER the posted speed limit and being praised, and see my point below about the 10pm stuff.

i often rode after 10pm [had an exemption due to work] and honestly, the in town roads are safer at midnight than they are at 9am or 3pm.

mcduck... i think your rego plate come off before you got to taupo, as i noticed it was gone on the ride, but never got a chance to mention it. took me a while to work out why your bike looked funny, lol. theres also a chance it was stolen, so if you havent already, report it stolen just in case someone uses it on a car for a crime. dont want it to trace back to you when it wasnt you.

Pity I can't red you again for the above. McDuck said and did nothing to suggest he is a 'littl' turd'. How many of us took on board advice when we were young? You don't actually live in Taupo and ride a Katana, do you? I read nothing in McDuck's posts to suggest that he will end up in a ditch (unlike the antics of SM, for instance). And who's being PC here...the cop?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

rego plates: It is easy to loose a rego plate off the back of the bike and not notice it gone.

Recently I was riding out to Kauaia for fish n chips...... Renegade Master made a strange comment about "Love the rego......"
Not one of us at the time knew what he was on about.
Then after getting fuel, I spotted the rego plate was missing.
None of group that I was riding with that day, know when it disappeared off the back of the bike.

We had two choices to make....... either get a trailer out to tow the bike back as it wasn't legal to be on the road........ or ride amongest the group and hope like hell that no cops came along......

I choose to sneak back into Auckland without a rego plate..
Got to Chickadee's place and waited to find out from Ixion what the rego number was... (was on a borrowed 750) then I made up a plate to get me home...
Oh the rego and WOF sticker was lost on that day.... somewhere out there on the back roads.

So dont stick the rego and WOF sticker to the rego plate, cos you then have no proof if stopped that the bike is even legal if you loose the lot in one swoop.

    You rebel you!

A cop flashed his lights at me one time for going 110km.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.

I've had them waving at me from the side of the road a few times. Nice men. I always wave back...

I dont see how his relates to my post? With me saying not all cops are bad etc?

Also it would not be the cop pulling a person out the ditch, that is done by ambo and fire people.....

You obviously do give a shit, because you keep spouting off in here about it!

A tad grumpy today, are we? Sounds to me like not only did you not get a bit last night, you got out of bed the wrong side this morning too.

He is not beefing about getting caught or having to pay the fine. In fact, the whole point of the thread was to say thanks to the rozzer for being a decent copper!

You were lucky to keep your bike and your license, anything over 41kph above the posted speed limit is instant loss of license - you were lucky.

Don't bitch at others breaking the law when you blatantly go about doing it.
Most of the learners restrictions are an absolute joke. Anyone who holds a full license for another vehicle class should be excempt from the learners period or at least given the opportunity to go and do their restricted assesment immediately! The only two restrictions that make sense are the not to carry a pillion and not to ride anything bigger than 250 ccm. Everything else is bullocks! Everyone knows that!

But keep up the good work Patch - I can see you're getting along well here.

As usual Sir Tank has made some very good points and I would like to render my support to these statements.

I actually thought it was illegal to flash your lights when there were cops around - especially when they're monitoring people's speed
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)
