I would agree. Its like a self for filling prophecy.
I once got into the mindset that it was about time I had an accident (I worked it out at that time, I was averaging an accident per 14000km lol). I started to push the limits more and more, almost trying to temp fate.
Sure enough I crashed.
Now I go out thinking the opposite. I will not have an accident today. Its worked for the last 50000kms that Ive ridden. Sure I may have become a better and more experienced rider.
