Bikes are inanimate objects and it is the riders who give them a bad name.

This post is way toned down from original.

Again Scorpy, condolences and RIP Daisy

    Thumbs down Think about it

16 hours ago - A man was killed when his car crashed into trees on the side of State Highway 12, near Opononi.
22 hours ago - A drunken driver went about four miles down a highway in the wrong direction before his pickup truck slammed into a minivan, killing a woman and four children and injuring three other people

I live 600 meters off state highway three just south of Kihikihi / Te Awamutu, the road was closed for hours yesterday due to a fatal accident involving three cars.
It’s the third fatality on the same stretch of road, due to cars on the wrong side of the road, in the last month – the last month! one was suicide, one was a drunk immigrant.

So you gonna give up driving cars as well.
Make sure you never play outdoor bowls – statistically it’s the most dangerous thing you can do – more people are injured or die playing lawn bowls than any other sport, more deaths and injuries than motor bike riders too.
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on

    No. People kill people.

    Motorcycles kill motorcyclists.

Most of you will be killed by motorcyclists if you keep riding a few more years. You should do as Mr Renegade suggests and sell your bikes.

Could have just as easily been a beach buggy, 4x4 or anything! It was the stupid rider not the bike itself that caused this. I would think for the most part motorbikes are actually safer for other road users (not for the rider themselves of course) simply because bikes are lighter and therefore hopefully have less of an impact in a collision.

Motorbikes are too dangerous, you can go around a coner, hit some cow shit/ pine needle/ car/ gravel/ livestock/ pedal cyclists etc etc the list goes on. And on.

Motorbikes have had there time and it has well been expired.

Deleted - some idiot moderator deleted the post to which it referred, which left this one making no sense. It still doesn't make sense, but nor do the moderators,so at least it's on topic

You say they're dangerous, yet you're willing to sell it off to someone else? You fool! They're dangerous and you shouldn't let someone else needlessly die on it. I agree with Anthrax, destroy it, destroy it now! Fucking shit man!
