Why dose everyone need there bike to be able to go 300kph or go from 0-100 in under 3sec for doing the daily commute... unless your in to track days, stunting ect.... Im not saying they are not fun but for practicality just to get from a to b a small bike dose the same job and uses less gas...
However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

A 250 is a big heavy pig compared with a 125 and some people just don't like that!

    I'm thinking about buying a commuter but I don't want a scooter.
The little CBR looks like a motorbike at least... I'd ride one but I think they'll be a bit expensive for what I want.

During what passes for rush hour here I'm not at all averse to using footpaths or hotel driveways or whatever else gets me home. A dirt bike might be more appropriate.

It doesn't feel quite right pulling capers like that on a VFR.

I want to get one of these so I can finally take my CBR to trackday and not worry about crashing it!

Honda NXR125 might be the ticket for you if you're looking for an econinomical hooligan commuter bike that can survive complete abuse Carver's one was awesome, but he just sold it...

Really? I'd want something that'd actually get me out of the way of Mr Holden and his disregard for red-lights...

Sure it looks pretty but it's like riding an FXR. People say "wow, looks like it can go pretty fast" (plastic makes anything look fast) and then they see you take off.... I'd rather commute on a GN250*. After all, the commute isn't about looking good. It's about getting the job done.

*ok, ok. I lie. I would NEVER ride another GN250 :P

Anyone know how much an FXR retails for?
