Sorry, only just logged back on KB to check PM's before bed and just saw this, perhaps you would have been better to PM rather than post.
I would have received an E-mail notification earlier in the day from a PM!
I am all set to shoot through early (for me) in the morning, hope to catch Hawea garage for gas just after he opens at 7am. Cheers John.
Well, CB and I are at Haast, sharing the company of 98TLS who has had a drop or two to steady his nerves after nearly wearing a camper-van.
He got here at about 11.30am and has been driniking since, must have REALLY ratled his nerves!!
CB lost the rear muffler on the Sporty - ya can't really tell the difference (well 98TLS reckons - and who would argue with HIM??
So if anybody has a rear muffler for a 97 Sporty (Screaming Eagle one) can they bring it to the Woodstock?
A lot of bikers here from all over - should be a big turnout tomorrow!!!![]()
Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........![]()
" Life is not a rehearsal, it's as happy or miserable as you want to make it"
Bummer I thought it was 9.30 like the friday crew...8.30 for sat??? Won't be able to make that, mates guzzi still needs a wof which won't be through until 8.30.
If we do get on the road that way, might try and meet you for lunch possibly. Bound to be some other bikes heading that direction. If all else fails just see you at hokie for a beer or two.![]()
If it ain't broke...fix it till it is!!
Ow, my head is still throbbing.

What an awesome rally, the team up there really put it all on eh, fireworks and bagpipes, great turnout and fantastic weather. Did anyone check out the glowworms (and huge spiders!) in the miners cave? Looked like quite a bit of misbehaving going on - wouldn't expect anything less at a rally, what happens there stays there. Was far from perfect myself ...![]()
Loved the ride up, negotiating the roadworks and the wonderful rail bridgeI'm even more in love with my bike
, starting to get to know when she's likely to run out of gas (I had to change to reserve before Springfield after refueling at Hokitika so can see the benefit of planning fuel stops before I leave).
Thanks Llama Sola for introducing me to more KB'ers, I'm not good with faces and names so apologies to anyone if I screwed up or seemed rude. Good ride home, nice not to have to thrash it and made time to visit the Bealy and Jacksons.
Hope that everyone rode safely and enjoyed themselves. I'm exhausted!Isn't it a shame we have to go back to work ...
