Pretty daunting buying your first home still, especially with the real estate industry the way it's been in the last couple of years, interest rates, and general volatility of the market. But still, at least we're not pissing rent into the wind any more!

So much crap to sort out, though. Sigh!

You wont actually own the house though until terms are settled and possession date is agreed on.

Until like the last few moments, depending on the signed conditions, they can change their mind!

Man I wish I didn't have work. Just want to sit with a dvd and chippies and 12 pack today!

PS - haven't heard from my people on the weekend ride so maybe all weekend it'll be chippies, movies, and beer for me.

They reckon it's up there with top most stressful things you can do - but never fear, you will forget the stress pretty quickly once you move in :-) Congrats!

Won't be along tonight either, my work found it's way home with me today

Mrs Oakie has sent me a txt promising a really nice tea tonight so I'll just weigh up having full belly and a couple of glasses of good wine vs a quick sandwich and riding in the wet for a couple of hours. Hmm. What a dilemma!

Oh yes, this I know. Don't worry, I wouldn't have posted unless I knew it was all under control Still a lot of crap in general to get sorted, though, so we'll be kept busy the next couple of weeks!

    Cheers Jen!

We don't take possession of the house until April (we don't mind, no great hurry), or 'by mutual agreement', so at this stage we're hoping to make the housewarming in late April / early May. Hopefully just enough warmth left for a BBQ! I'll let you know anyway... we'd be happy to have you along

Cheers! Yep, sure is pretty daunting, especially as being our first home we're not too well versed on these things, but I reckon we've done pretty well. Got lots of plans for the place!
