Ain't that the truth.. My old man once got pulled over for a routine stop, cop took an instant disliking to him and he got tagged with 'Lack of window washing fluid'

Took it to court and got it dissipated.. but there's always something. That could man that cops are tight bastards, or that they are regularly really kind by letting you off on such potential hazards Tui anyone?

Nah man it's definitely a badge number, and you need at least three spotty teenage mates with cell phone cameras pointed at the cop threatening to send their footage to TV3 before the cop will give it to you.

    Not the I can find

I could be wrong tho ... LOL .. i'm not invested with the power of the state and cant pull people over .. sometimes wish i could tho ...

I reckon the cops should make us all civil officers with the ability to issue infringements .. man, that amount of money i could make ticketing cars not up to warrantable standard boggles the mind.

    LOL

Is loss of ticketing opportunity and the loss of revenue the real reason they are planning to ban the use of radar detectors? As there is no evidence drivers/riders who use detectors have more accidents.
    Here for the ride.

I think it refers to a mandatory field in the old Wanganui Computer System. Whenever entering details (i.e name (Q.P) or rego (QVR)) to be queried, the system asks for the QID of the officer requesting the data.

    'Queen's Identification' or QID

Whether the cop has one depends on whether he/she is acting in the capacity of a 'Peace Officer', or 'Police Officer'. One is charged with upholding the LAW, the other enforces STATUES.

The way I heard it a police officer is legally required to provide their badge number when asked for it, no matter who's doing the asking. Have I been misinformed?
