It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Back at intermediate school (yeah, I've got a good memory) we had a cop come and talk to us. These were the days where police and traffic were separated. He was traffic.
Two things I remember from his talk.
1. He commented he flashed his lights when off-duty even if there was no cop nearby - he reckoned if it slowed someone and saved their life, it was worth it. I think he did comment (even back then) it was illegal, but understood - this is 30+ years ago.
2. COP wasn't insulting - he read it as "car on patrol".
So it is illegal for a motorist to remind a fellow motorist of his speed then.
yup. Final request - badge number please, and the "name calling by police officer" leaves the Internet right now, or else it goes international. Your call.
nup you don't do you - spoken like a true officer o' the law. NEVER has any police officer actually done anything to assist me when I was victimised, yet they trip me on any administrative triviality at every opportunity, while simultaneously accusing me of wronging half of collective society.
You are beaten this time, how does it feel ?
DB
DB, your pushing shit uphill here. There's no way any media or PCA or anybody is going to give a fuckeroo about a glib comment by a cop on a internet biker forum.
And I doubt very much that Scummy is crying into his Emmerson Oatmeal stout over it either.
Superdukes. Serving up shame to sportsbikes since ages ago.
I can see it now - (picture the head of Reuters in a management team meeting)
"Look guys - we need some real news:
The war in Iraq - old news,
Prince Harry in Afghanistan - well hes home now,
The democratic nominations in the US - not news worthy,
Hang on HOLD THE PRESS - some coppa in NZ apparently made a slightly glib statement on the Internet. Lets make this international people!!!!!
This is big!!!!! This is HUGE!!!!!!"
Actually - This is STUPID!!!!
oh - and MODS - isnt there some rule about threatening people on here?? (not that ScumDog is worried Im sure)

No thanks mate, but good on you to offer.
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
Actually, I see a bit of gratuitous name-calling right here
hmmmm
There is some truth in this at times...http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...postcount=2236
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
But will anyone answer the question as to what law is broken by flashing headlights??

Problem is that your attitude is exactly why so many people hold the police in such contempt these days. The post that started this thread illustrates to me that policing is beyond most of the police force these days. Sitting on your collective asses in a car with a radar is the easy way out, get out of it from time to time and police a few other road laws, see how that goes. When was the last time anyone saw the police seriously police intersection laws? Never is when, because that would involve actually doing something, not just reading the paper and waiting for the radar to do the job for you. If the great "get the speeder" strategy was actually working it might hekp your case, but it aint, the stats are getting worse not better while you lot sit on your asses with a speed gun. Frankly, you don't deserve any respect from the community because you aren't earning it, until you do I'll continue to do everything I can to obstruct you.
