Beats me - connected ok this morning. All fixed thinks I. Won't connect now! Bugger.

Found it's working when I switched to Internet Explorer instead of Firefox.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."
Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
Logged on through the work laptop which connects to Vodafone through an air-card.
No problems - straight through ... sounds as if it could be a Telecom problem alright.
I don't understand why anyone is still with Telecom if they can help it. Why? ? Laziness in changing providers?
Telecom is nothing but bad.
The only good thing is they do your thinking for you.
Kennif you're about the only Kiwi that's posted over at ADV recently in the regional forum other than me. I don't go there much and it sure is quiet there now - much more fun here. Is it really Telecom's problem?
Cheers
Merv
ADV has loaded a couple of times for me,then won't go any further. No big deal - the internet could collapse tomorrow and I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one clapping.

Have had a wee chat on Blame John/ Ask Baldy
John says he cant find a prob at their end
His suggestion . a routing slowdown our end combined with slowdown their end due to traffic
SO!!! What do we do now ?? Sorry i'm a puter dummy so am no help but I can yell real loud if someone needs a burst.
Assuming you are running Windows of one sort or another
Click Start
Click Run
Type in 'cmd' (no quotes)
A black box type screen will appear
Type 'tracert www.advrider.com' (no quotes) and hit enter
A bunch of stuff like that in my earlier post will appear.
Right click on the tiny little black square at the top left of the black window (at the left of the blue border)
A menu box will pop up.
Click on Edit
Click on Select All Everything in the black window should be highlighted
Click on Copy
Now go write an email to your ISP service desk
Tell them that they are routing through a dead route. Paste the stuff you just copied into the email
Tell them to fix it.
It is purely a Telescum issue.

Yep. Back up for me too. All the emails to telecom must of got somebody off their slack arse to sort it.
I received the "churned out" corporate reply. We can't be responsible for all web faults. Blah blah blah. Funny how it got fixed hours after people emailing them![]()
