I saw one in person parked up next to my bike..

It's quite a small bike, and it looks okay. Not as grotesque as in those photos and not as unusual either actually.

Not really sure about it actually..

They will sell heaps in Europe - they love the V-rod over there. USA does not.

The front end has never looked right on a V-Rod IMO - I think its something as small as the angled headlight that f's it up.

They are a surprisingly small bike - but on some models the leg/arm stretch compo would only suit a 6 footer plus. Weird.

    Go like stink.

    do they really????

I am a member of the Harley Riders Club of GB, we have very few members who have V Rods

Have been to several Harley only rallies in Europe, very few V rods at those either

May be I am in the wrong club to see all these v rods that are selling so well in Europe

    Europe's a big place.....

That aside, They don't seem to have the appeal nor resale value that their other bikes enjoy.

The long, thick zorst looks like those a lot of metric cruisers have - and it looks just as ugly on them....

According to the magazines they do - Europe and Germans like em they say. Maybe its all relative - if they sell 1000 in USA and 10k in Europe then that heaps!

Personally I don't like it, I love the Night Rod however this version of the V-Rod just doesn't do it for me, the exhaust has to be the ugliest thing I have seen on a bike in a long time and it kinda looks like it is slowly morphing into another style of bike all together....
    Yeah, nah.

I'm OK with the Night Rod, particularly the Special, but I've never been a plain V-Rod fan. Bit of a gang bike, innit?

The exhaust on the Muscle is indeed crap.

While we're talking HDs, I do like the Cross Bones though. And I think I'd be happy with a Night Train. If someone's buying...

Oh yeah, the cross bones is indeed a very nice bike!!! Pity they can't always design a nice bike!

Ain't that the truth. Speaking of nice bikes, how're you enjoying the M50?

This crap weather needs to bugger off so riding and beer can happen.

Don't believe everything that is printed in magazines - a lot of what is printed is to applease advertising revenue and to sell magazines

Have friends in Germany, their opinion of V rods is echoed by what is being said on this forum

My 2 cents worth, if I wanted a bike that looked like a V max I would go and buy one, as for buying an imitation V max no way

Hang on. You have V-rod and muscle in the title.

After seeing a 650 hyosung take apart a v-rod and a night rod at the drags I hardly think that's appropriate.

I would be way more interested in what they have done to the motor to claim muscle than what they have done to the looks.

Really?!?!? Those HDs were being ridden terribly and the Hyobag was being given a thrashing.

I've had a go on a Street-Rod, and that not a slow bike at all.

Still, mad props to the Hyosung guy for giving it hell
