I need the complete discs not just the rotors ay. Here is what I've found, but people do say to stay away from the chinese/hong kong variety... What do you guys think?

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Front-Brake-D...80701092a31621

    That's from Hong Kong.

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-Front-Bra...QQcmdZViewItem

    Those ones are from Aussie.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Front...spagenameZWDVW

    And those are from China...

I'm thinking that perhaps the ones from Aussie would be the way to go?

    Cheers.

The general consensus seems to be that the same discs will fit all those as listed in the auctions...

Yes seems to be the way with Honda, on my model 750 the thou of the cam vintage is identical.
Did you talk to Malcolm at Ecohonda about discs.

Ah no I haven't emailed Econohonda as of yet. Will do that right now and see what they get back to me with. I've inquired about some things through them before and they seemed rather pricey though...

Ouch.. Only other NZ source would be.. They have all listed VFR400 parts for dismantling in the Marketplace Publication

Steve Green Enterprises, 428 Waitarere Beach Road, RD 4, Levin, Phone 06-368-8945 AH, 027-600-8339, Email: stevegreen@xtra.co.nz or Website: www.workshopmanuals.co.nz

Manawatu Motorcycles, PO Box 2072, 32 Andrew Young Street, Palmerston North, Contact Paul De Lautour, Phone & Fax 06-357-7216.

There is an Austrailan place that does good product, but their name escapes me!

Cheers for those contacts. My mate has found some original VTR1000 discs on ebay for $69US buy now which I assume are used but in still great condition. I will shop around a bit and see what my best options turn out to be.

This guy used to be around. Customers not always 100% satisfied, so you'd want a watertight guarantee

    colours

Ok all VFR fans, time to dig deep into the grey matter...

Due to my spill / off / bin / fairing crushing incident , I am getting a full set of fairings welded, sanded, prepped and painted by the talented team at Reflections.

My first instinct is to go with a red, white blue tricolor scheme similar to the tricolor Gen6.

Another train of thought is to go with an authentic racing colour scheme from 1995 (the year my bike was born)

Does anyone know who was racing vfr750's at that time and what (if any) the factory racing colours / scheme was.

I have a completely blank canvas to work with and I want to make it something special rather than the block standard colours of red, blue and I think there was a yellow...

    Can anyone help?

Google is your friend...try googling RC30 & RC45. That will give you all you want to know about Honda VFR Race bikes.

I have also emailed a mate on OZVFR. He is a bit of an Oracle re these bikes so he may join the list and reply.

If it was me I'd be picking one of Joey Dunlops bikes to replicate. He was the greatest rider of Hondas V4 EVER!!
