    The photos: -
    1. Is that Cahills crossing?
    2. How deep and fast was it?
    3. What is it that you have circled in the second photo

When we were there (if it is Cahills), the water was dropping off the downstream side of the cause way and we weren't game to cross. In your photos, there is no downstream step, so it must be quite a bit deeper. If you rode through there, I take my hat off to you.
Yes,Cahill Crossing on the Arnhem Land side.
The step was there when i went across in the morning.
I waited a half hour after taking that pic on the return, the water was about where the rocks are by the guy fishing when i crossed, maybe a foot and a half deep in the middle (my pants were wet mid shin ) and reasonable flow with no sign of the step.
There is a rough bit close to the other side but nothing of to much concern,i spotted a 4WD going over it so knew it was there.
The red circle if you look closely will show the head of a crocodile.

It looks like the Wet season is close now with humidity starting to climb.

    I guess this thread died

Still loving the DR so 500 kms today,a lot on dirt.
Seems odd now regarding a 30 litre tank as average.

Great photo's, but I don't know that I'd be too keen to get off and take photo's with these buggers lurking about and, yes, the big tank's great! We don't have the deserts like you fella's, but all the same I don't have to plan for fuels stops anymore either

A bigger tank seems like a "must do" upgrade.

How much $$ are the bigger tanks?

Just gas tanks in Merika is the place that many get the tank from. The IMS 18l tank is the one to go for unless your into 500+kms stints. Was about $360 landed when I got one about a year ago.

I just thought I'd post a pic of my DR. It looks a little bit different from how it appeared in my profile pic!

M8...... you,me and TLDV8 all know that the East Alligator is tidal at Cahills!

From the pix, it is 200-300 lower than we saw, it was showing about .5 on the guage scale that day.....but but but, we never saw that croc!
