Insist that the shop lend you another bike for the night...for transport purposes of course. Not to take it for a thrash or anything
I will try to make it, got to get out of work on time, ride home, swap the vehicles, ride back into town all before 1830.
Watch out I dont get ya shins with the zimmer frame lol
Thats spot on
Also if any newer less confident riders have a word, there will always be someone who you can follow, watch their lines etc
I personally found that a great learning tool early last summer on these rides
Thank you Transalper![]()
If all goes well I'll be there tonight.
Any tips for cold hands? I find my leather gloves get quite cold even on a warm'ish morning on the way to work just 'cos of the wind blowing on them, it'll probably be worse on longer rides.
I'll need to suck it up for today since I'm coming straight after work, but for future, glove liners? insulated gloves?

I invested in a pair of Oxford heated hand grips
Best $120 I have spent in a while.
And before all you buggers say HTFU you dont need heated grips,
Take you heaters and aircon units out of your cages for a winter and HTFU yourselves!
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.
Gloves are like helmets and jackets, can never have too many. Get yourself some more suitable ones for colder riding
Alternatively, you can get thin thermal gloves that'd possibly fit underneath your existing ones.
Failing that, you're only left with a small HTFU pill which you take with water
Weather is looking pretty good... bit of luck we won't arrive at BK 20 minutes after everybody has left again![]()
