If the 309 is still closed then will just have to find a different way round to Coro township. Lunch will be in Coro T and from there to Fletchers Bay. Would say will get there about 3-4. Colville would be last for bait. I'm not much of a shore based fisherman so I don't actually expect to catch a thing! I will be there Friday arvo so will give it a go then if i get time.

There will be no rush to leave Sunday morn' so if your keen a morning fish is possible. I will be taking bait to so happy to get extra if you wish?

If we cant get past the slip on the 309 Rd then another option if coming from the eastern side is to turn off the 309 onto Castlerock Rd ( GRAVEL ) and this would bring us out at Te Rerenga on the Whangapoua to Coromandel Rd which is also a great sealed but winding Rd and back over the hill into Coro.
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

Cheers Mark, was looking on the map earlier and that does look like an option or starting from Te Rerenga side and heading back in. That way we can still do Tapu-Coroglen Rd.

From thames we could do Tapu-Coroglen then 309-Castlerock to coromandel then .........................

But TRUE adventure riders would find a way past the slip anyway ( I will bring my spade )

i was thinking some berley would definately increase the chances of catching something, but i'll be buggard if i'm gonna carry that stuff in my panniers, baits alrite its the berley that can get messy.

I won't be bringing fishing gear up from the Naki so if someone could catch me a couple of crumbed snapper fillets I would be very happy!

No prob, freight, time, storage, cooking, would say $50 a fillet should cover it

Course I hope to catch my limit (nothing under 30cm of course) in the hour or 2 of daylight i'll have on Friday.........
