WEELLL, why tell them? Have they not guessed yet. Is there a problem you have to let them know about?? If you are really serious about telling "them" call a meeting with you and your partner fronting up. No mucking about, tell them square that you are "in love" and "serious" about the relationship. Have an escape route planned...
It will be on your terms and not mucking around with say the family BBQ. They could always leave and save face rather than having to tell all the "other" guests to leave (or dashing off into a room and crying/stamping/punching the wall)
Seriously, my step brother was "sent away" when he was forced to "come out" cause found in toilets with another, and parents were appalled. Dunno if it would be worse telling on your terms or having to find out through authorities.
