Quite true as am i. but then you wonder why someone would remove the KTM trip computer with hour meter and install a motominder? [that should answer your question "the vet"] as if you are gonna do that to a brand new bike that comes standard with an hour meter. the guy was talking out his firey scottish arse the whole time. He didn't know what brand oil he used etc etc. i wish i had offered him 50 bucks for it just to piss him off, lol. You should'a' seen this thing. Looked like he kept it locked up in a swamp. It had good compression but i wouldn't know how much it was supposed to have... being a torque not revs boy

On the bright side i've arranged for a 250 to test ride in Palmerston on Friday
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=136937970. They say they'll happily trade mine too so i'll just have to take it up there and see what they offer.

As for comin up to that sweltering hell hole... not likely as i'm a broke ass bitch who's about to get a credit card to pay for a new bike just before i get made redundant... at least i'll have something cool and orange to run to the hills with tho[/QUOTE]

why would a 2007 need a new rod kit already?

Yeah something must have gone drastically wrong, but at least if you have a ride of it you will get an idea if you like the power of the 250.

I guess it would depend on how well it was fixed, but I guess you won't really know.

Yeah that was the 250 sxf though, which sounded like an over-engineered heap of shit. Looked nice though

There's quite a few 200s on there and the price is usually around 6000 there's only a couple 250s and they're around 7000. I'm erring on the side of the 250 just because i like big whollop. What i'm really asking for here is the advice of anyone who's ridden both or either models. Is the 250 gonna have better low grunt and less snappy annoyingness then the 200? Arguments for both models will be appreciated

    Cheers
jeez, finally giving it up aye. Check them out on youtube, you can see/hear anything there. Will be interested to see what you think if you get to ride a 250 vs your 450. For the record, I am after an 08 250 EXC, if anyone has got a mint second hand one, 'one woman rider' etc, let me know, could be tempted
