I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
how far up the track does that slippery sonofabitch little hill go before it eases off? that one deff needs completing!!!
KiwiSafariTeam
GO BRO GO
That slippery sonofabitch isnt as slippery as it was cause the 4x4's have been using it and after that rise it becomes more stony but also more technical . Easier from the Elaine end though
All I can manage is Maunga tomm but slippery sounds like a must do with a new tyre..
Will see if I can get there. Bike is still dirty with DOT knobblies fitted, ideal for some Maungatapu side tracks![]()

Also did a couple of pylon tracks coming out of Okiwi bay that would be "interesting" on a bike
Theres a climb thats rutted clay with random rocks on it ,I could have had another go with a bit more gusto but Im no spring chicken you know and I was feeling a bit rooted at that stage
Went for a ride yesterday with Topo ver the maunga. Topo got a flat front so he had to ride all the way back to crazyfrogs with the front wheel in the air. Pretty hard going downhill like that
Anyway you know how some days you have an average ride then somedays you're on fire - well yesteray I had one of the best rides everThe weather was great - not too hot not too cold, no traction probs - in fact I think rooted MT21 front tyres could be a new performance phonomeonenen -phenonemenon -thingy.
Murphys law is always present on your ride & the only time I encountered two way traffic was on the slipperiest steep shaley parts of the trackNo probs though due to the aforementioned front tyre & the E09 on the back which is really excellent on that type of surface.
So as you were just wanted to share...
Only saw the ride post after it had happened
Went for fush and chups and Murray McLean was at the Sprig & Fern having just come over the Maungatapu on a Matchless 500 and Royal Enfield 350.
Now that Royal Enfield is an adventure bike![]()
He rode two bikes over the Maungatapu??![]()
