I do. I've watched people blissfully ignore plenty of cage drives in need.

It's just big city life mate not evidence of anything more. People will be either too shy to go help or assume he's got it under control.

Nothing to do with being it a bike. Only someone with a rather weird lens-view of the world would see otherwise.

Go back and read the post. Ixions statement was about an old white haired lady lying on the road having a heart attack. It didn't say anything about a 'cage driver'.

Mind you I myself stop ALWAYS to help bikes/cages in need....
I myself stopped for a chap pushing a RS125 on Saturday. But I know, unfortunately, that people willing to stop are few and far between.

Just makes you appreciate those that do all the more.

    Karma?[/QUOTE]

Maybe Karma but I reckon it just helps. You feel better for offering. Like the scoot I pulled along side and pointed out indicator on for the last 2 k's. Same goes for waving a thanks to a driver who spotted you when you thought they could easily pull out into you. Can only make the world better 1 interaction at a time

What a shit of a place to live when cagers do as described. Like it wasn't rush hour. It was two in the afternoon!
About 2 months ago I was unfortunate enough to break down in the fast lane on the motorway, towing a trailer, at the beginning of rush hour. A bloke who was travelling literally right next to me, saw that I was in trouble, and immediately pulled over in front of me and got out to help. He towed me off to the side whilst the police (who turned up just a couple of minutes later) set up a rolling block.

It's not Aucklanders, it's humans. Some are good, some are bad. The faster pace of life in Auckland and the number of motorists on the road lead us toward anonymity and apathy.

Or maybe I'm just prettier than you, who knows?

Even the rear end of a donkey achieves that......
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

    Nup!
    It's an accident site.

If it isn't safe to move your bike, then leave it where it lays and let the cars blow their horns to their heart's content.
The greatest pleasure of my recent life has been speed on the road. . . . I lose detail at even moderate speed but gain comprehension. . . . I could write for hours on the lustfulness of moving swiftly.

Unfortunately us Dorklanders get a bad rap from all the fuckwits that live in our city. When I had my accident a fortnight ago several cars all stopped for me to help move my bike, check I was ok, call the police etc.
Rude, selfish and uncaring people exist everywhere. Our population base just means that we're more likely to have a greater share of them, and if you're from outta-town you're more likely to notice them more than we do.

I love Auckland, the fact that 1.3 odd millon live there means they dont live down here.Besides that methinks the transition from there to death would be unnoticable.

I'm not offended by that, because I don't consider myself to be an Aucklander
