I know I know, I've been fucking stupid but been forced to do it anyway. JUST got paid yesterday hence the $500.....
And you cunts giving me shit, give me all you want. I know for certain you wouldn't be doing it in person.
Now now, don't you fret your pretty little head.
He may want to crack it later.
But seriously fella, get the goddam bike up to spec, put a bloody L plate on it and stop being a whiney little kid. I got two of those at home, don't need any more of them on here either.
:edit: And yes, I'd tell you this and probably in these words even in person.
At the 2007 Westpac Ride:
Donor: So ya glad you're a Biker?
Minnie: F**k yeah!
Hahahhah silly cunt
the even silly-er part is posting about it up on here and expecting to get some sympathy
tell you what I'll tell you where you can find sympathy
go get an Oxford dictionary look it up you will find sympathy between shit and syphilis
Your Name should be Mentalor
Okay, everyone stop mocking the boy, most of us have been young and dumb at some stage. And Metalor, stop getting angry, what is, already is.
You will need to pay for the rego from the last date of registration.
Some cold hard facts - get your rego and wof with your $500. Get it legal or you pay $1600 in fines. $500 is less than $1600, right?
Second - you have no right to ride a bike that won't pass a WoF on the road. If you drop the bike, you could lose skin. I'm not your mommy, and I don't care - but you should.
Third - A larger displacement bike is a little more expensive to live with. Ignoring insurance, WoF and Reg, my thou gets a new rear every 6-8 weeks if I use it every day. $400 ish a time. New chain frequently as well. If you think buying a larger bike will make things cheaper, you're fooling yourself.
Fourth, the jump from a Tu250 to a Z750 is a big 'un. Grand canyon big. If you ride with the throttle control that use on the TU, you'll be road kill.
Finally, you're on a site filled with people who have gone through the learning curve, paid their dues, and have time and effort invested. Show respect to them and yourself, do it the correct way.
Take it easy out there.
EDIT - Before you tell Donor to fuck off, he is the guy who'll be picking you up if your unwarranted bike with non-legal tires hits the deck. Calm down, and heed the message.
Its diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; its life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
This is a wind up right?
What he said.
Just with the occasional set of words like 'suck it in' or 'take some personal responsibility' thrown in for good measure.
You are lucky the cop did not give the bike a good going over and order it off the road!
And yes - if we met in a pub and you told me the same story I'd tell you to your face. I'd also probably buy you a beer too, as I'm a good bugger and even though you've been somewhat 'unwise' I could appreciate your case of 'lowbuckitis'
One presumes you are not presently riding it in it's unwarranted, non registered state...............![]()
Yes it is a windup. I'm wound up.
It is what it is
not really a "fuck the police" worthy scenario. I do 120 all the time, but when I get ticketed I dont cuss the guy out, I give a sheepish grin at being caught, and think to myself Im lucky he didnt get me going faster!!
Cant really whinge about it, you knew the risk and did it anyway.
but like someone else said, ask the cop if he will compliance you, get the WOF and REG, and take it in, you MIGHT be lucky.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
Haha this is entertaining.
I was young once (still am actually) and I never really had a "hate the pigs" mentality when I got fined or pulled over for dumb stuff I was doing because, in the scheme of it all, it was me doing the dumb stuff and I was just getting snapped by the people employed to...well...snap people like me!
If you were clever you would have stopped riding after the first time you got done for no WOF etc, instead of continuing to ride and then get all aggro when you get done for the same thing again!
One point that irritated me about your post was that you mention you are broke because you are a student.
I'm not a student and I'm broke! I had to save up my dosh for about a year before I could afford to buy my first bike, including all the associated costs that go with vehicle ownership. I didn't go out and buy one, then complain when I got snapped doing something dodgy and moan about not having money to get the bike legit. SAVE YOUR MONEY and get the bike legit before riding it - you could have avoided all of this. You are lucky enought to have avoided some serious injury by crashing due to your worn rear rubber.
And, we call this being a man! Yep, as we mature, we realize that the world doesn't care about our excuses any more. Just man up, do what needs to be done and get on with it.
Chalk this up to life experience. Have fun riding...
Oh yeah, taking responsibility for your actions isn't gender specific either...
Ride, eat, sleep, repeat!
