Big Dave. Got to love that movie! I've a copy on DVD and my poor, long-suffering wife has had to sit through it so many times...
Xactly what i said "no rumble".Not knocking Harleys, far from it been around to long to be bothered with that shite. They have a vastly distinctive sound than most V-twins stock pipes or not.Hard to be honest here without offending owners of said bikes but the reality is they have a sound more akin to an old and i mean old tractor with a fucked exhaustnot being offensive thats just the reality and its far from a rumble.Best mate rides a Dyna/wide/FGWXAKU etc (again not taking the piss just cant remember the endles letters associated with said bike),its an 07 and all things considered a nice bike, when he bought it it had oem pipes, kind of quiet which is to be expected, fitted an aftermarket system and now it sounds like afore mentioned tractor,he loves the sound and thats all that matters eh but its far removed from a rumble.
Be the person your dog thinks you are...
My Buell. I think it is the most versatile big bike. Doesn't do 'anything' outstandingly well. But does 'everything' reasonably well.
Sports, tours, stunts, fun round town, excellent 2 up, does dirt roads and some ADV - and it's very tall.
Cheap to service and although parts speed of delivery to NZ is a bit of a pain they will be available for that 10 years.
Triumph Tiger if I could remove the bodywork and screen. I'd own a Speed Triple already if I fitted on one.
I could live with this Rocket III quite easily too. Really enjoying it.
BMW Megamoto if I only rode solo.
Road King with a suspension job.
Concours 1400 would be a contender too.
