    Acrobatic small(ish) furry missiles

OK, While we're on the topic of enraged animals I'll post this. Sniper's seen it cause I PMed it to him...

We'd all been in town shopping (mum, dad, me and younger brother) and came home to hear this crashing and banging frenzy of activity coming from the lounge. We went to investigate but before we got to the archway between the dining room and lounge the cat landed in the middle of the archway in a "starfish" position - all legs out at angles from the body and at full stretch.

We had just enough time to see a pair of wild eyes staring at us past a weta then the cat went from this "starfish" stance to a backward somersault without bending its legs (not that it could bend them in that position) and resumed its path of destruction through the lounge, running up the walls then back-looping off them.

It took two adults and two kids five minutes to catch the poor bastard and remove the weta from its nose.

Then we worked out what had happened:

A few weeks previously dad had found a weta and gave it to my younger brother as a "pet". Michael put it in a jar but didn't feed it and a while later it was on its side, apparently dead. Michael took the lid off the jar, looked at it then put the jar back on the shelf instead of throwing the dead weta away.

The cat must've stuck it s nose in the jar to see what was in it, ending up with the weta attached to one of the most sensitive parts of an animal's anatomy.

Never believe a weta that tells you it's dead - they lie!

Did you all see that playing out SOOOO clearly in front of you as well...???

A good laugh for the morning!

I can see the squirrel sitting back in the evening, with his mates, and telling them about "his day"... "well first I was kicking the shit outta this car that tried to run me down, and then I jumped off just in time to kick the living snot outta some dumbass who tried to run me down... you'll love this guys - on a bike! So after climbing INTO his helmet to give him the biff, I left him 'cause I saw some cops to attack"
And then his fellow squirrels saying under their breath "yeah right - bullshit artist"!

    Arrow Great post.

If someone infracts you for that then they need to get a grip and grow up. Thank goodness that we dont have those sort of evil critters in NZ...

Believe me, you do NOT want to hit one of those bastards

    The bike was a write-off

I was lucky enough to slide (a long way) and get up a walk away

They're tough little mo-fo's. the front wheel never stood a chance
