FWIW the helmet on the chic in the vid looks about the right colour...
Yeah that looks like the right vid... doesn't look like he was going that fast... maybe she just lost her grip when he did the wheelie...

Still a nasty thing to happen, good reason to always wear good gear...

Good point. Also, we know they don't offer much protection against bull bars.

I had tears in my eyes reading that - and the worst thing is, as a rider, she should have known better - and she obviously realises that. No way would I go out without the proper gear on, no matter how many idiots on this site and others say it should be a matter of choice.

Like the stupid prick who wrote to the paper the other day complaining he'd been given a ticket for not wearing a seat belt - said he was only driving the short distance between the shops and the bowling club and was only doing 20kph so why didn't they concentrate on 'real crime'.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

I would hate to even imagine the pain. Seeing the pictures sure as hell rams it home. I would often have friends say to me - god don't you get sick of putting all that gear on - my answer was and always will be - I want to be protected as much as I can if I'm gonna hit the deck! If it was too hot to get the gears on then I didn;t ride - a couple of times that happened when I was living in the Hawkes Bay.

I was watching the teev last night and a re-run of motorway patrol was on. worst thing was some poor bastard got knocked off a K100 (I think) and ended up getting run over by a van and dragged along.

The sounds the poor fucker made when they got the van off him and into the ambo werent good. he did have decent gear on, but got two busted to shit legs out of it. no roadrash I could see: the gear does work.

    owwwww.

I saw that - did you see the angle his ankles were at when they put him on the stretcher? Must have shattered his legs, poor bastard.

anti-gear Nazis? WTF? Since when did people who chose not to wear all the safety gear go around preaching to those that did wear all the right gear? It's the other way around, gear Nazis go around telling others how to live their lives.

Skin is very hard to replace. I must learn to get some good leg gear when I grow up. Still wear an open face and every crash, I've missed my face luckily.

Scars or no scars, I reckon she is still a hottie. Live and learn.
