    Why is it?

Why is it that sometimes you get on your bike with the best intentions to be careful and courteous, and then ride like a complete arse?

Its called a disconnection of the off switch! Or it may have something to do with getting pissed off with other road users (ie cages).

I always promise my wife I'm going to ride safely and couterously and then all it takes is some asshat soccer mom in a 4wd or taxi or courier or bus or inbred boy racer from the burbs pulling a great manuvre to ruin my mood, then I get agressive and start carving it up Rossi styles.

It's the red mist mate! The bloody red mist!

Sometimes I get home and think "that was totally unacceptable riding, you have no right to take those risks when you have mouths to feed at home".

Yeah been there done that. Get off the bike shaking my head thinking good lord, what did I do?

I make an effort now to act my age a little more, demon passing manouvers are not going to extend my life no matter how fun they are.

    Learn from Yoda young Pedawon

"Beware of the dark side. Anger...fear...aggression. The dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight. You must unlearn what you have learned. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will...You will know (the good from the bad) when you are calm, at peace. Passive. A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.

I blame the petrol fumes... I use to be like that but now I got other things I have to do with my life so I don't take the same risks i use to...

I still take risk... ie actually just get on the bike and going for a ride... It does come down to self control, as BarBender with the Yoda quote stated...

Self control.... something pisses you off... take a deep breath then say... no... let them get the ticket, let them do the dangerous driving... let them be the arse on the road...

Does it work?... errr probably not but by the time I have said all that I have forgotten what happened and by then eying up some babe in a bikini

Why is it the only time twats in cages pull out in front of you and/or attempt to remove your bike from under you is when you are actually riding carefully and not like an arse?

What we have here is a dead set case of cerebral tesiculay interchange whereby the alpha male (and indeed some cases female) revert from a learned and somewhat cultured state into the dominant subconscious raving ape from which all humanity sprung. Personally, Vodka has the same effect.

Im a bit of a knob whenever I see an exotic car stuck in traffic or a hyped up 'taxi' (ie anything with 'SS' or 'HSV' on it). Having said that, they are often the ones that pull across for me to get past (on long trips etc).

Yep. That can get you into all sorts of trouble. Especially when coupled with tunnel vision and forgetting that the festering cunt who almost took you out just then isn't the only one out to get you.

I try to ignore the red mist now.
