I think you've handled the situation well. No sense in getting on his case - "YOU fucking little prevert...etc" That'd be great - give him a complex make siure he feels dirty and bad about sex.
Kids have more information about so much shit these days that education must start in the home. Parents set moral boundaries and teach kids the rights and wrongs (according to them) If more parents took an active interest in what their kids were doing there'd be a lot less kids in trouble with the law.
