Ha Ha Get used to them.Harley are working on full dress V Rods because in a few years the old Broomwade motors won't meet emmissions regs.
Also, when the last Neanderthal dies they won't have anyone to assemble them.

    ( Broomwade - a brand of compressor)

Back on topic. How many of you folks have actually ridden a VRod? Bloody amazing machines. They've been out a few years now and I haven't heard any stories of the new motor blowing up or missing a beat. Awesome powerful engine mixed with ... wait for it.. good brakes. What more do you need. Around town a Vrod would be bloody hard for Coppers to catch except as soon as it parks the crowd of onlookers would be a give away.

Yeah I seriously looked at getting one, but the weight of the thing put me off. Doesn't mean I'm still not interested. Friend who worked on HD's at a dealership, reckons they are pretty well designed when you get inside them. Just gotta get use to a HD with no pushrods and water cooling. Still think they are are a bit blingy at the moment.

Yep - I'd like to see most of the guys in here keep up with White Trash on a V-Rod from Castlepoint to Masterton.

Only got to look at the demise of the British bike industry in the late sixties and early seventies to see why Harley would want to diversify it's customer base.
Just to hijack the thread even more, that is absolutely right. HD know this. their core customer is late 40's earns over $100k/yr USD etc. That RUB stereotype started somewhere. Dean on Weeds is the funniest one.

Ive already said to the local dealer: I will buy an XR1200 if they build it and it comes here. ...... waiting.

Oh and hopefully scumbag didnt trash the stolen bike too much when he was running from the pleece.

Yeah, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a picture of a dude in leathers GETTING HIS KNEE DOWN on the VRod.

Could HDs be catching up to the new millenium? Scary stuff.
    Keep it rubber-side down...

Regarding chases, saw an article in the Daily Post the other day. Senior Police Officer stated that they had yet to be involved in a chase where they thought, "That guy can drive"

    Tempting is it not?

Problem is they only catch the ones that can't ride/drive and are not about to make public the details of ones that got away.

Reading the article though it did seem a little like a challenge!

Well there has been a thing in the paper about the NZ police wanting to upgrade their road spikes as they run into drivers who can dodge them no matter where they set them up.
