Great day out everyone! Man, am I tired now, but it was a good way to get tired. That trip around the back roads of the Bay was hilarious wasn't it, and it finished up perfectly with mostly all of the Ashurst crew meeting up back at the intersection of Highways 2 and 50.

A great big thanks to our great Hawkes Bay hosts, you're a fab bunch!

I've learned... that to ignore the facts does not change the facts

Do you seriously expect me to believe that these politicians would implement policy based on nothing more than bullshit......

I'm not sure that anyone should...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Nice lunch. MTRS will note that I did not get lost before lunch!

After lunch we headed up middle road and it all got a bit blurry from there.
Can you find it on the map? (Hint: look at the colour change - kind of says it all really)
Despite the interesting after-lunch route, it was a brilliant day, enjoyed by all those brave souls present
    Personally, I did 375km

    there always is.

I might just add however condecending I seem it is only because I am naturally concieted.

Guess it is just good luck that 21 bikes made it to wimbilton in the same condition they left dannivirke.

His bin didn't bother me too much as it didn't effect my days riding or put a damper on the group in general. Only one thing worse than sitting on the side of the road trying to piece a bike together instead of riding and thats waiting for an ambulance.

Glad you enjoyed 'our' roads. They are the worst-kept secret around.
Your riding is getting along just fine, too.
Was pleased to see that most were happy to ride at their own pace, without feeling pressured to keep up with the front runners. That's the way we run our regular rides, and so far so good, no bins.
