Was good to chat to you and the Mrs at Cuba yesterday, nearly didn't recognise you with intact legs, no bike and a huge smile rather than a painful grimace.

Sounds like you had a fun ride

I went for a short blast around the loop just before I saw you and managed to have no cages in the way and dry twisties: That had to satisfy me as being on call kept me close to Palmie.

    PM re info you wanted

Any chance of letting us know the brand of tracker that you have?

i-gotU Bluetooth GPS Travel Logger by Mobile Action.

I had a play with the photo correlation today. If you synchronize your camera clock with GPS time then when you get back the software will geotag the images and add them to the route automagically

When's the next ride folks? I don't see anything in the list of rides. Spring seems to be coming and we're getting more settled weather although the forecast for tomorrow Sunday 16th is looking a bit dodgy.

23rd August - We'll run with a group ride. 3D we've still got you one to run up through Mangawekas so why don't we run with that.

Labour weekend I hink we're looking at doing the East Cape / Naki run, so we should also start setting that up. Hands up, who is keen?

We've stiil got Fields track to do as well.

    Crank handle is turning slowly.

Hi Gary. That sounds good to me.

Details of the ride then are:

Sunday 23 August Departing BP Feilding 10.00 a.m.

    Ride Distance Approx 250 km

Depart BP Feilding 10.00 a.m. heading north up Kimbolton Road
    Colyton via Colyton Road
Awahou North via Taionui Road, Valley Road, Pohangina Road and
    Pohangina Valley East Road
Komako Still on Pohangina Valley East Road
    Apiti via Oroua Valley Road
Kimbolten (Toilet stop / Cup of tea at cafe) Via Oroua Valley Road, Apiti Road and
    Rangiwahia Road

Those that need to get home home early can return to Feilding from
here making a trip of around about 125km

Rangiwahia Heading back north along Rangiwahia Road (Quite
windy in places and some loose chips)
Mangaweka via Ruahine Road. (Bring your camera)

Pit stop / toilet stop at Mangaweka Service Station (DC3 Plane)

    Hunterville Via SH2

Suggest we stop at a Cafe here for lunch. People can then make their
own way home via SH2 or back north 5km and over Vinegar Hill. Going
back to Feilding via Vinegar Hill brings the ride distance to
    approximately 250km

We will need dry road conditions for this ride to be safe. It's not one that I would want to do if the roads are wet. We may have to go a different road to Pohangina. Last time I went on the road from Colyton there were road works. These may be finished by now. I'll check if I can before the ride.

I could be a starter for Labour Weekend.
