$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details
Yeah, I totally agree with more training and I could do with some. I found out a few things about my lack of skills today, the way it stands right now I guess my options are NASS, more time riding and trying to work out the good advise from the crap.

Thanks Maha, Mully, Mom, etc etc... excellent speeches, excellent event... I will make the bridge one day... off to Puhoi now actually in the cage, going to try out a VTR250 tomorrow up there...Hope your bike is ok MOM !!!
The crashes are bad news in all senses. Commiserations to those on the wrong end of them, whatever the circumstances.
Here's one way of looking at it: 360 bikes did average 150km (?) each = 54,000km in heavy traffic. There were two incidents or one per 27,000km. Anyone know what the average biker crash rate is? Probably more frequent than that.
BUt a count of none at the Bikoi and the way home would be primo.
Quite right, I meant he's ok, as in not going to die/mashed up/through windscreen etc.
Sorry we probably have very different opinions on what is a serious crash. However we won't let that overwhelm how well the rest of the day went!
Thanks so much to the organisers, the speakers were really good, and who would have thought i'd have happilly listened Phil Goff (and agreed to what he said) without a gun to my head?!
All in all, a great day and it was great to be a part of at least one protest ride.

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.
Ahh, I went looking for "L"'s as well. I reckon you will find that the harbour bridge isn't as bad as the image you have in your head. Once I was comfortable on my bike I picked a really nice day to go over, no wind or anything. Now I go over twice a day no matter what the weather is doing.
If you come over on a weekend I'll meet ya and we can ride up to Puhoi, I haven't taken the bike up there yet!!

Not pushing the blame and pray the people hurt have a swift recovery.
Waiting to see if we get hammered on the news, all it will take is footage of an ambulance and a voice over.
I also have to say it got pretty hairy sometimes at the back. Some people obviously interpreted "staggered rideing , no overtaking" as "go for your life mate". At some points, both on the out and in ride we were moving at pace with people in two lanes and cars and trucks moving between groups. Those of us trying to stay in a group and follow the speed limit had to ride alone for long periods, to catch the large groups would have been too dangerous.
If you were the guy on the BMW attempting to clear a path near the back, good on yer, sterling work mate. That white panel van you politely funneled into the left lane just was not watching what was happening.
Anyway, as i said, not bagging anyone, great turn out, get well soon. ACC wont see that the downed riders had clocked off though...

The bear count was 140, and honestly anyone that saw those kids faces as the bears kept coming would have the same delight I had watching them. I will have a pic of the entire assembled bear-a-thon, nicely displayed soon, so will post it for you to see.
Now all they have to do is decide how best to distribute them. What a cool thing to do, makes you pleased to be a human sometimes.
