That looks good Meanie and as you have found out it's not a gimmick. It's so practical I can't believe they didn't think of it decades ago and why is it taking so long for other makers to catch on?

    I second what Hawkeye says.
The Caberg is a great skid lid.

My Cabbage cost about $450 when I bought it and the exchange rate rate around 33p to the $

The paint on the cabbage must be that type they spray Supermans tights with because it's impenetrable to stone chips. I've had a few high speed stones bounce off the lid and thought, oh bugger that's going to leave a chip, but you get home and nothing?
Once you have ridden with an internal sun shade, especially in winter, you wouldn't go back to a helmet with anything less. Safer too, being able to instantly remove your sunnies if it clouds over and and you want better vision. Or the opposite and you get sunstrike.
Congrats on your choice gijoe. How are you finding your cabbage?

loving my cabbage, took it out for a road ride this morning - Maraetai/Whitford and visited McJim and Chickadee. Took some photos of it there!

The cabbage works luvverly, way less road noise than my Zeus flip-face and the internal sunnies are neato. The build quality is great and just have to get used to clipping the strap up.

I'll be ordering in another one in yellow to match Daisy next!

It sounds like the HJC version is sprung loaded so you press a button and it snaps back into the helmet. The Cayberg works manual via the lever which I think is fine. Less to go wrong. And if I only want to bring it down half way, I have that option.

The internal appears to be far enough away from the face that it wouldn't interfere with glasses. I'll try a pair of sunnies on with it and report back the findings.
Sound like it maybe a better system to bring down the visor
I did wonder if the top of the HJC where the slide was is 100% waterproof. I thought i felt a couple of drops on my head last night coming home in the rain

I was told part of the reasoning of having the inner visor on the top was because in some other helmets with tinted visors inside, when operated on the side, they can sometimes be hard to get up and can end up on an angle etc.. I don't remember the helmet brand in question, it was Shoei I think, I'm not sure.

Damn month couldn't come fast enough, I want my helmet !
