+1 True that. thats why I can't ride behind him coz the noise resonates in my helmet and I get pain in my ears - I had to keep overtaking or stay far far behind lol. beautiful sound dou.

You will find some KB'ers trash Hyo's, and some who trash Hondas, Harleys and whatever. To each his own, we all have our own preferences and prejudices.

To answer your question, no, Hyosungs are not generally crap and a bit wooden. Talk to those that own them, or go to a Hyo forum such as KoRider at http://www.korider.com/ or a YahooGroups forum like http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Comet250Owners/
As with any internet forum, you will find various opinions, including some criticism but the overwhelming majority of Hyo owners give two thumbs up to their bikes.

Personally, I think the GTR's look wicked. I test drove one and loved it, but my smashed wrist could not cope with the lean forward position. So I have a Comet which handles well, keeps up with all the big bikes (except the 180 kph screaming idiot racers on a $40k Ducati, etc), looks like a big bike, sits comfortably like a big bike, and gets 80 mpg.

On some Hyo's the rear shocks have not lasted well, and NZ assembly has been shoddy in some cases. Otherwise they are fine, oh - except for the name, I'll grant that "Ninja" is tops for marketing. My mechanic (with 20 - 30 years experience) is not a Hyo dealer and he recommended that his son get a Hyosung.

Thats my bike below, at the start of the Rimatukas, Wairarapa side.

    Same here

Nothing can replace that formula 1 19,000 rpm scream. And then there's the looks you get *spot the attention whore * :P

Radar: Yep mate, Totally agreed. Hyosung's look fucking fantastic, i'd have one IF The badge had any rep behind it (from my p.o.v) and if they came in inline 4 pot with heaps of mostly torqueless revs
