a cruiser would be easier than a sports bike!

i took my little brother's hornet up this morning and hit the southernmost entrance... unfortunately with all the effort of getting it mounted sufficiently i forgot to put a memory card in my helmet cam so i've only got 4 minutes of very low quality video showing my exit - posting up shortly

i might add that i saw a park ranger talking to a guy on the beach unloading his dirtbike, and while both aprties took off fairly quickly, it appeared the ranger let him ride.

the other guys i stopped and talked to had no clue

It's hard to tell from the vid, but i'm guessing the sand cant have been toooooo super soft if you managed to go straight through like that? Last time i was out that way it was whooped to hell, it was hard work tryin to even walk that entrance, and big 4WD's and one farm bike struggled to make it. Looks like it's gotten better now though

no it wasn't/isn't too bad at all, just kept to a tyre track and was fine, though the bike sure got wobbly on the soft sand high up on the beach

though i might add i was running (what turned out to be) 20psi in that 180 rear - should be 36 - and used a fair bit of dirt biking skill to keep it going where i wanted it

Indeedie, there is no substitute for a bit of experience when it comes to the soft stuff. Still learning m'self
But it is at least encouraging that roadie's should be able to make it on (with a little help if needed)

Drama's is half the fun! And sand is great for being so forgiving

And besides, the challenge is what off-road ridin is all about...

ive just realised taking a bike with no air filter on a beach probably isnt the smartest ideas, looks like i'll have to put the air filter back on, or at least the box.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

There is this wonderful thing called beer... it comes in boxes... friends with toys can sometimes be convinced to hand over said toys in exchange for said beer, and returning with a full tank of gas
